A quote from James Thurber about wedding cakes is very intriguing. He says that the most dangerous food is the wedding cake. Wedding cakes are just like any other cakes for the ordinary man. But for the bride and groom, this cake becomes a symbol of an unbreakable bond that will last a life time. The design and eloquence of the cake is just secondary. What matters most is the way the cake is molded and formed. Although the wedding cake lasts for just one day, it becomes embedded in the lives of the witnesses especially to the ones who just got married. Share your thoughts... :D

ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that the cutting of the wedding cake by the groom and the bride symbolizes their commitment to each other. I also like to believe that the wedding cake is the first food that the couple share as husband and wife. (~.~)v
